Sierra Asphalt, Inc. was originally founded as Sierra Engineering in 1977. The firm was licensed as both Class A General Engineering and Class B General Building contractors.

In 1979 the company was incorporated as Sierra Asphalt, Inc. The name reflected our primary function of repairs, sealcoating and striping of asphalt pavement parking lots and private roads. While most of the hot-asphalt repairs were sub-contracted, we continued to specialize and grow within the industry. In 1986, we started our own repair and paving operations. We now have two paving machines, one rated at 250 tons per hour and one rated at 800 tons per hour. We also have all the support equipment such as rollers, loaders, trucks, and the personnel to run two crews. We are still one of the leading asphalt sealcoating companies serving Northern California.

We have slowly expanded our work to include limited sitework in new construction. While we still specialize in the hot-asphalt paving, we do take small to medium sized sitework jobs. Our background and expertise in repairs and renovation allows us to take the custom site jobs requiring design and build experience.
